Employment matters deeply to the adults we serve at Blue Heron because it provides more than just a paycheck. It brings purpose, independence, and a sense of belonging. Meaningful work helps individuals feel valued and connected to their communities while building confidence and skills. At Blue Heron, we bridge the gap to employment by offering personalized support every step of the way, from job exploration and skills training to on-the-job coaching. Through partnerships with inclusive employers and the support of our dedicated staff, we ensure that each participant has the opportunity to thrive in a workplace that recognizes their strengths and potential.

Partner Benefits

Employers who partner with Blue Heron can take advantage of the Paid Internship Program, which offers real work experience to individuals at no cost to the business. The program is fully funded by the state and includes support from a dedicated job coach to ensure a smooth experience for both the intern and the employer.
